Its a Application which allows us to capture screenshots, Record video, document the functionalities/features for future use at our work place.
Need for Screenrec ?
As I am based on transformational journey of HR, we do work with multiple teams and conduct various testing to make sure the digital product what we have build is working fine and would add value to our business users. During testing, I did find a number of Issues and Bugs on the product developed and I wanted that to be communicated to our development team to fix those. Initially, I tried writing long scripts with detailed steps to cover and explain the issue but that was not effective which created lot of confusions and also it was time consuming for Me.
Then started exploring on this tool where I could record live sessions and the issue faced, both visually & provide explanation through my Voice as and when I ran through the process which helped me to save time. Communication gap was eliminated as they were able to view the video on what I had shared with them consisting of My explanation.
This tool also helped Me in creating User Guides and Training documents for each and every process, which helped our end users for a better training and understanding.
Why I suggest this application is that. I have been using this application throughout my organization where I have worked and has been reviewed by our Cyber Security and Infra team, so hence I feel this application as safe and I suggest you before you install this on your official system to take permission and approvals from your cyber security team to avoid any future consequences.

Lets see how this would create a shortcut on our desktop from where we can access
You would see the ScreenRec Icon on Task bar and if you click on it, it would let you know the shortcut keys to use
As I have installed Screenrec let me try to start a video and explain
Post clicking on End button, we would receive below popup to save, with designation path for the file

We always look for settings and how we can best utilize the application, Yes Screenrec has provided use with various features where we can customize our capture based on the requirement.
- We can control Sound/Voice
- We can control Camera/Visual Recording
- We can control Shortcut keys to ease our app use
- We can also decide on the quality
And mush more as provided on below screen.
The only drawback would be, when we are using free version the video recording length has been set to maximum 5 minutes and if would like to extend then we would need to upgrade to premium plan.
Easy way out if you would not need to get premium pack, What I do is that create 2 videos and as we have video merge software, I just merge those and my work would be done.
